[Truly this probably would have gone a lot differently face to face. Obi-Wan usually has a preference for in-person interactions himself, really...but sometimes comms do have their reasons.
He's no good at dealing with tears from friends on a normal day when he isn't newly returned from death, anyway, and that would have been a touch awkward to say the least.
